Hexagons and pinwheels of various kinds seem to be all the rage lately and it looks like I have been mesmerized by both! This is such a fun way to make a traditional pinwheel and then to proceed to completely change it! Usually done with several templates, our version is just trimmed up a but and then finished off with corners. Starting off with 2 charm packs and some straightforward pinwheels, this pattern looks like one of those complicated spinning pinwheel patterns but it isn’t! No sewing templates in this one and no specialty rulers, just a basic block and some fun trimming techniques and voila, you have twirling taffy blocks! Set in a totally unique manner that makes the outer edges feel like scallops or giant hexagons, this quilt will quickly become one of those favorites that you cherish for years to come.
